Week 1

For my initial project idea, I want to try to create a vocoder that can make a voice sound like different instruments.  In a cappella, instrument sounds are often replicated through consonants and vowels that a note is sung on, so I want to try to make a way for voices to sound even more like different instruments.

Although this song does not use vocoder in the way I was thinking about attempting, it does something similar with having the vocoder be the only “instrumental” part of the song
